About qcalculate

qcalculate is a free calculator website that shows you how, not just the answer.

Why qcalculate exists

Most calculator websites give you a number. Chatbots give you an explanation, but they can make arithmetic slips. qcalculate shows the method itself, step by step, using the numbers you type, so you can follow it, check it and do it yourself next time.

What makes it different

• Your numbers, not an example. Every step uses the numbers you entered.
• Animated steps. Watch each step happen, then go back, slow down or replay it.
• Exact math. Calculations use exact fractions, so there are no rounding surprises. Read how we check our math.
• Free. The calculators and their steps are free to use, with no sign-up.

Who it's for

Students checking homework, parents helping with it, teachers explaining a method in class, and anyone who wants to understand a calculation about money, school or everyday life.

How qcalculate is funded

qcalculate is an independent website. To cover its running costs, it may show advertising in the future. Ads will never be placed inside the steps.
